Life Beyond

One single woman
                my soulmate

     we are kindred spirits

Romeo and Juliet's love
                 conquered death

     and so I trust

Our romance will be remembered
                   by more

     than a thing like breath

Guest Poet - 'Surrender'

Perchance,
      after wandering
                             &
                               dreaming
Bewitched by the Moon & Stars,
            whisper, whisper
                with
                   wretched madness
                            into
                                my Soul
                                my Spirit
                                      Your aching need
                                             then
                                                to my Beloved...
                                                       I yield myself

Zombie Apocalypse Store

My son and I stopped by the Zombie Apocalypse Store in Las Vegas today.  We had been at Pacific Archery earlier, honing our skills.  After all, we learned from The Walking Dead that a silent "kill" from an arrow is the preferred method of dispatching a zombie from a distance.  So, we will be shopping there for targets before our next session.

They offer more than just targets, and way more than standard paper targets.  We saw blades of many shapes and sizes, one of which we will probably be returning to obtain this weekend.  There are books on your survival needs, food packages made for travel, and even artwork if you want to look at the dead.  Ok, so I might have to get some of that as well.  We were informed that new products arrive almost daily, so you may need to make repeat visits.

When you are coming to Las Vegas, you can place your bets on surviving a zombie onslaught if you visit this store.

My Melancholy Dream

my melancholy dream
hadst a fair maiden out after light
perchance to make merry
wantonly wandering through the night

by mischance she stumbled
o'er yon street thought so dire
there a cursed drunkard
vehemence quenched only by fire

thine mortal woman
I speak my tale naught in jest
tormented therefore
thus winter comes to her breast

Ivory Tower

I see
a plague of flesh-eating zombies

I know
you cannot outrun the unstoppable undead

I scream
as madness slowly overtakes me

Guest Poet

Gray Fruit

I make use of this warm gray fruit
never their hot hearts, which always taste bad.
Imagine keeping gentle when they feel you work.
Relax -
It is easy after.
I want but little

Romantically Challenged

There

Like lost children

Sweet mystery of the soul

All hope crushed

Bewitched & crying

Conquered

They have appetites

Best that we run!
