A scream shatters the dead of night
Methinks a wicked villain hadst fouled a woman
Therefore lest I forswear my lordship
With haste do I run through perilous manner
Wherefore he stumbles o'er yon street
The drunkard I see doth deceive my eyes
For naught drunk from the goblet hast loathsome slander
But from out of his grave this grotesque doth wander
{Thus begins a new age of the supernatural, who knows what the future will bring}

A change-up in poetry
This Father's Day, I received the Shakespeare kit from my wonderful, oldest daughter. So, get ready for a change-up! Zombies are moving into the Elizabethan age as well!

Welcome to the Club
Together, let's chase them everywhere
An unstoppable mob
filled with a taste for warm flesh
Who thought sucking eyes out of skulls
would be that infecting of a thing
But you know, my pale skinned creature
a headshot will kill
and undead no more
we move into the grave again
An unstoppable mob
filled with a taste for warm flesh
Who thought sucking eyes out of skulls
would be that infecting of a thing
But you know, my pale skinned creature
a headshot will kill
and undead no more
we move into the grave again

Watch your step
If you would stumble in the street
Chased by hungry zombies
Human flesh they like to eat
Before you can scream into the night
It is feasting on brains
And takes no little bite
Chased by hungry zombies
Human flesh they like to eat
Before you can scream into the night
It is feasting on brains
And takes no little bite

Instinct
Beneath the dark of night
they trudge slowly
creatures hungry for brains
More damned than evil
Like a mob from the movies
we mindlessly destroy with fire
filling our need to kill anything wretched
If only zombies could scream
they trudge slowly
creatures hungry for brains
More damned than evil
Like a mob from the movies
we mindlessly destroy with fire
filling our need to kill anything wretched
If only zombies could scream

Guest poet
Brains everywhere on streets
More undead creature madness follows
wretched human wandering the night
a shot plagues the grave horror

Freedom
It rises from the grave
Rotten flesh sagging
A shadow of the living
Moaning
Hungry
Confused
A shot screams out
I whisper no more.
[This interpretation of this poem has brought several viewpoints. I would be interested to know what you think about this, especially who is the person speaking (who no longer whispers).]
